Interview de Louane Villaume (109) en mobilité Erasmus+ en Finlande
Hei de Finlande
What prompted you to start your project?
– I choose to start this project to discover a new country but also to learn English.
What are your first impressions of your stay?
– When I arrived on the 2nd September, it was raining so I reckoned it was going to rain all my stay. However, hopefully, during September, the weather was so good that I could go to swim in a lake with 2 Italians girls. Staying in a small town named Orivesi, I thought there was just nothing to do whereas, we can do so many activities like hiking, ice skating, and meeting new people.
What surprised you?
– In my opinion, the most surprising thing is everyone have a sauna in their house and obviously the school system, indeed they finish school at 2 p.m or 3.40 p.m compared to France.
What is your most memorable moment from the trip?
– During my trip, I improved my English but I have also learned a new way to live. To me, the most memorable moment from my exchange was my trip to Stockholm by boat with Italians because we laughed a lot together and the buffet was just amazing ! But, I can also talk about my trip in Lapland, unfortunately I have never seen the northern lights. Nevertheless, I am so glad and grateful to be here and discover such a beautiful culture and Finnish people.
What advice would you give to other students who are just planning to go or are looking for a program?
– Besides, it is worthy of note, if I must give to other students who are just planning to go, it is to not forget warm clothes although I stay only in September and October, it was so cold and also raining. Of course, they just need to have fun on their trip since it is going to pass so fast !
